From Kirkuk, where the roads of the north meet those of central and southern Iraq, Al-Bawadi Road Company set out to be a dependable link between cargo and its destination. We work in general trading and in public transport across its three modes, land, sea and air, and we place road haulage first because it is the artery of exchange between Iraq and its neighbours.
Hauling sulphur from Kirkuk to Syria, Jordan and Türkiye is one of the lines we are proud of, yet it is one part of a wider system covering bulk cargo, petroleum products, containers, heavy equipment and refrigerated goods. This site sets out what we offer in detail, how we work with ministries and companies, and what we commit to for every consignment entrusted to us.

Al-Bawadi Road Company for General Trading and Public Transport is an Iraqi company based in Kirkuk, in Al-Wasiti district, opposite the Kirkuk Customs Directorate. The location is deliberate: it places our office a few steps from the authority through which outbound and inbound cargo formalities pass, and it saves our clients time on follow-up and clearance.
The company works in two complementary fields. The first is public transport in its three modes: by road with trucks and tractor units, by sea through Iraqi and neighbouring ports, and by air through international airports. The second is general trading: importing, exporting and supplying materials to the public and private sectors.
Road haulage leads our work. It includes bulk cargo such as sulphur moved from Kirkuk to markets in Syria, Jordan and Türkiye, alongside domestic lines that reach Iraq's governorates.

تقع كركوك على مفترق الطرق بين إقليم كردستان شمالاً وبغداد جنوباً ونينوى غرباً، وفيها تُعالَج كميات كبيرة من الغاز المصاحب الذي يُستخلص منه الكبريت. هذا الموقع يجعلها نقطة تحميل طبيعية للبضائع المتجهة إلى ثلاثة حدود: التركية والسورية والأردنية، ونقطة توزيع نحو محافظات الوسط والجنوب وموانئ البصرة.
Kirkuk sits at the junction between the Kurdistan Region to the north, Baghdad to the south and Nineveh to the west, and it is where large volumes of associated gas are processed and sulphur is recovered. That position makes it a natural loading point for cargo bound for three borders, Turkish, Syrian and Jordanian, and a distribution point towards the central and southern governorates and the ports of Basra.

الحمولة السائبة لا تُعبَّأ ولا تُعدّ بالقطعة؛ تُحمَّل بالشفل أو بالحزام الناقل وتُحاسَب بالطن. لذلك تبدأ دقة العمل من القبّان: تُوزن الشاحنة فارغة ثم محمّلة، ويُثبَّت الوزن الصافي في وصل يوقّعه الطرفان.
بعدها يُغطّى الصندوق بمشمّع محكم يمنع تطاير المادة ودخول الماء. وعند التسليم يُعاد الوزن ويُقارَن بوزن التحميل، وأي فرق يتجاوز نسبة السماح المتفق عليها في العقد يُوثَّق في محضر.
Bulk cargo is neither packed nor counted by the piece; it is loaded by wheel loader or conveyor and invoiced by the tonne. Precision therefore begins at the weighbridge: the truck is weighed empty, then loaded, and the net weight is fixed on a ticket signed by both parties.
The body is then covered with a tight tarpaulin that stops material blowing off and keeps water out. On delivery the load is weighed again and compared with the loading weight; any difference beyond the tolerance agreed in the contract is recorded in a report.

الكبريت الذي نحمّله من كركوك ناتج عرضي لمعالجة الغاز الطبيعي: يُفصل كبريتيد الهيدروجين عن الغاز الحامضي، ثم يُحوَّل إلى كبريت عنصري ويُجمَّد على هيئة حبيبات أو كتل صفراء. هو مادة خام لا غنى عنها لصناعة حامض الكبريتيك والأسمدة الفوسفاتية، ويدخل في المطاط والمنظفات وتكرير السكر والمبيدات. ولهذا تطلبه مصانع الأسمدة والكيمياويات في الأردن وتركيا وسوريا.
The sulphur we load in Kirkuk is a by-product of natural gas processing: hydrogen sulphide is separated from sour gas, converted to elemental sulphur and solidified as yellow granules or lumps. It is an essential feedstock for sulphuric acid and phosphate fertilisers, and it goes into rubber, detergents, sugar refining and pesticides. That is why fertiliser and chemical plants in Jordan, Türkiye and Syria ask for it.

The northern line is the shortest of our three. Trucks leave Kirkuk through Erbil and Duhok to Zakho, cross Ibrahim Khalil to the Turkish gate at Habur, and continue to the industrial zones of south-eastern Türkiye or to the Mediterranean ports of Mersin and Iskenderun. The crossing is among Iraq's busiest, so we schedule arrivals and prepare documents in advance to shorten waiting time.
الخط الغربي هو الأطول داخل العراق: من كركوك جنوباً إلى بغداد، ثم غرباً عبر الأنبار على الطريق الدولي السريع مروراً بالرمادي والرطبة حتى منفذ طريبيل، ويقابله مركز حدود الكرامة الأردني. من هناك تتجه الشحنات إلى عمّان والزرقاء، أو جنوباً إلى العقبة حيث صناعة الأسمدة الفوسفاتية وميناء التصدير على البحر الأحمر. طول المسافة الصحراوية يفرض علينا تخطيط محطات الوقود والاستراحة وتجهيز الشاحنات لحرارة الصيف.
The western line is the longest inside Iraq: south from Kirkuk to Baghdad, then west across Anbar on the international highway through Ramadi and Rutba to Trebil, facing Jordan's Al-Karamah border post. From there consignments head to Amman and Zarqa, or south to Aqaba, home to the phosphate fertiliser industry and the export port on the Red Sea. The long desert stretch requires us to plan fuel and rest stops and to prepare trucks for summer heat.

Crossing a border is not an extension of the domestic road; it is an operation in its own right, with its own documents, guarantees and timings. We handle the whole chain for the client: booking trucks licensed to exit, preparing the manifest and commercial documents, coordinating with the clearing agent at the crossing, and following the consignment to the consignee's site in the neighbouring country. Where the destination state requires a change of tractor unit or transhipment at the border, we arrange it with approved carriers on the other side.

Tankersنقل السوائل يختلف عن نقل أي حمولة أخرى: الخطر في الحمولة نفسها، والخطأ الصغير فيها كبير الأثر. لذلك نخصّص لكل مادة صهريجها ولا نخلط الاستعمالات، ونلتزم بتأريض الصهريج عند التحميل والتفريغ، وبفحص الصمامات والأغطية والأختام قبل كل رحلة، وبتحميل لا يتجاوز الحدّ المسموح. ويحمل السائق مستندات المادة وتعليمات الطوارئ الخاصة بها، ويلتزم بالمسارات والأوقات التي تحدّدها الجهات المختصة لحركة الصهاريج.
Carrying liquids differs from carrying any other cargo: the hazard lies in the cargo itself, and a small mistake has large consequences. We therefore dedicate a tanker to each product and never mix uses; we earth the tanker during loading and discharge; we inspect valves, hatches and seals before every trip; and we never load beyond the permitted limit. The driver carries the product's documents and its emergency instructions, and keeps to the routes and hours set by the authorities for tanker movement.

A load that exceeds standard dimensions or weights needs a plan before it needs a truck. We begin with a route survey: clearance under bridges and power lines, the capacity of culverts, and turning radii. We then obtain the movement approvals required, choose a low-bed suited to the weight and number of axles, and secure the load with chains and binders according to its centre of gravity. The load moves with warning vehicles ahead and behind, at hours when traffic is light.

We haul containers from the ports of Umm Qasr and Khor Al-Zubair to Kirkuk and the northern governorates, and return them empty or loaded with exports within the free time granted by the shipping line, sparing the client demurrage and port storage. On request we handle clearance at the port, stuffing and unstuffing at the client's site, and reefer, open-top and flat-rack units.

Cold chainفي النقل المبرّد لا تكفي سلامة الوصول؛ يجب أن تبقى درجة الحرارة ضمن المدى المطلوب في كل دقيقة من الرحلة. نبرّد الصندوق مسبقاً قبل التحميل، ونحمّل بسرعة ومن رصيف مغلق كلما أمكن، ونرتّب المنصّات بما يسمح بدوران الهواء، ونسلّم مع الشحنة سجلاً لدرجات الحرارة يُثبت سلامة السلسلة من المخزن إلى المخزن.
In refrigerated transport, arriving intact is not enough; the temperature must stay within range for every minute of the journey. We pre-cool the body before loading, load quickly and from an enclosed dock wherever possible, stack pallets so that air can circulate, and hand over a temperature record with the consignment, proving the chain held from store to store.

داخل العراق نعمل على خطوط منتظمة تربط كركوك بمحافظات الشمال والوسط والجنوب: توزيع للمواد الغذائية والإنشائية، تجهيز لمواقع المشاريع، ونقل بين مخازن الشركات وفروعها. الشحنة الصغيرة تُجمَّع مع غيرها على الخط نفسه، والكبيرة تُخصَّص لها شاحنتها.
Inside Iraq we run regular lines linking Kirkuk with the northern, central and southern governorates: distribution of foodstuffs and building materials, supply to project sites, and transfers between companies' warehouses and branches. A small consignment is consolidated with others on the same line; a large one gets its own truck.
